axles

what are the axles that come under a 76 to 86 chevy truck . it should be a 12 bolt rear and a 10 bolt front diff . i am just wondering if i am correct

2010 kia forte koup 2.4 sx -over the river and threw the woods to the total lot it went .
1999 k1500 suburban 350 vortec 4l60e leather land yacht .

Yes,on 1/2 ton 12 bolt rear and 10 bolt front until one year(forget which) they went to a 10 bolt rear.The 3/4 used 10 bolt front and 14 bolt rear,and the 1 ton used dana 60 front,dana 70 dually rear (IIRC) or 14 bolt on the srw (IIRC).A few early 73-7? had dana 44 front axles still.

i think the ones i got are out of a 81 to 83 i dont know got them on cragslist just want to make a 100 % shure i listed them right

Nothing saying that the axles you have are factory. You probably should ID the axles first before listing them.

Um, I don't think so unless the front had been swapped out. GM went to the 10 bolt front in '79.
87 is also ifs

1987 is sfa. They changed in 88 on everything but 1 tons and blazer/sub. they are sfa untill 91'.

Your 14-bolt is probably the metric version, check if its free floating or semi.
