I've been looking around for a suburban that could be left as a stock and used as a daily driver. 1967 would be my prefered year. I want a 250 I-6 becasue it will get fairly good gas milage. I also want FWD.

Was there many FWD I-6 burbans ever made, i cant seem to find any for sale, I've maybe run across one in like an entire year of looking.

I'm guessing you mean Four Wheel Drive (4WD)... not Front Wheel Drive.

1967 4x4 Burbs are not very common. Maybe someone will chime in with production numbers. I'd suggest you look for a 71-72 and put a 67-68 front clip on it.

My books say:
67 4x4 - 509 1/2T, 120 3/4T
68 4x4 - 1143, 299
69 4x4 - 1427, 545
70 4x4 - 1877, 541
71 4x4 - 1625, 609
72 4x4 - 3136, 1382

These numbers are for chevy. I have no idea what the break down between 6 & 8 is. I think I did read somewhere that GM didn't use 6's in 4x4 blazers and jimmys. I would imagine that a 6 in a 4x4 is pretty rare.

My 70 burb has an I-6 and is 4x4,I was told from the little red book that less than a thousand was made of this model,with virtually no options.If this is wrong someone let me know,I would appreciated.

If you want a 250 because you like I6's, great. If you are expecting good gas mileage, forget it. It will suck gas like mad.

my '67 4x4 has the 250 in it and it gets bad gas mileage.

An inline can be very competitive and way cool but, dont forget youre attempting to move a very heavy hunk of American steel down the road sixes perform best in light bodied vehicles luv em got a 292 w/all the goodies but I also have a Cad 472 in my 69 Burb and it get as gooda mileage as my DD C10 350/400/308 PU, and it moves that land barge (burb) very effortlessly down the road only rub is 10.5 to 1 comp. takes hi test fuel $$ but FUN!! Ya gotta luv 400 plus foot lbs of torque ! Makes yer leg shake !!
