Question what da ya think?

I have been thinking......... wouldn't it be neat to make a topless suburban! I don't plan on doing this to my burb. I just thought that that would look so KEWL! Not some cobb job type, but make it like the blazer top! Cut off at top of pillers, the door frames and under the to rear windows alllllllll the way back. Do you think that this would be possable? I was reminded by a friend that the roof has alot to do with it's structual integraty! So I wonder if it could be pulled off?............. Is the somebody one here that could take a stock suburban into photo shop and make it topless? So we could see the idea?

I saw some real pics (not photoshopped) of one or two back in my early days on the board. A member had one. That was something like two years ago, though. Wonder if anyone saved those pics?

So all I can say is it has been done before, so you don't have to worry about it just falling to pieces if you chop it. Can't remember him saying anything about doors getting hard to open/close or anything like that. I also think his was a permanent convertible (oxymoron?) Good luck.

Didn't one of the Truck magazines just do a givaway on a later model one? Without getting under one, I suspect the frame is strong enough to support it. Worth the thought!
