Unhappy Honey, the tree just fell on your new truck...

About 6pm last night my wife calls me (I'm still at work) and says that the tree in front of our house just fell on my truck. As you can see it hit dead center on the cab plus there's some relativly minor damage to on the left front corner of the hood. The tree is still on it as I write this but it looks like the roof basically imploded leaving the doors intact but I havent tried to open them yet. The gap along the front edge oif the passenger door looks kinda tight. I guess the roof could be cut off and replaced. My initial thinking was the cab would need to be replaced but maybe it's not that bad but I'm still in shock as I just bought it july 6th. Does anybody have experience with this sort of repair? I'm in Pleasanton, CA (San Francisco east bay) and I need to find a good shop to repair it correctly if anybody knows someone.

SON OF A..........that sucks!!!

That just shouldn't happen to such a nice truck.

Looks likes it's time to build that "speedster" Cheyenne.

At first glance I would be more inclined to graft on another roof.

I'd say, look for a donor cab, your homeowners insurance should cover that right?

Man that really sucks bigtime as that was a sweet ride.

Hopefully your homeowners/auto insurance will give you decent money to put her back together and now be too big of a pain.

Unbelievable! And such a great looking truck.

Good thing they make them out of strong steel.. otherwise it could have squashed it like a bug!

I guess you'll be looking for a cab top soon...

That really is sad - such a beautiful truck! Good luck on getting it fixed. I guess on the bright side, it could have done alot more damage.

If it makes you feel any better, your truck is still nicer than mine even with the tree sticking out of it Seriously though, that REALLY sucks! Such a beautiful truck, too. Hope you get a decent amount from insurance to get it fixed.

Lol! that's some funny s**t.

I'm not sure what I would do if I had a truck that nice and a tree fell on it. I really hope everything works out and your truck gets fixed.

Re: Honey, the just tree fell on your new truck...

Sorry for the hard luck.. The good thing is that you or anyone else.were not in the truck when the tree fell. I guess I shouldn't ***** when a bird leaves his mark or I get a few fallen twigs on my truck after a rain storm. I know that a lot of the insurance companies you folks in the USA deal with have a zillion ways to get out of paying claims. I do hope you are somehow insured and the insurance company doesn't pull the "Act of God" crap on you !!!

Man.... that SUCKS!
One question that no one has asked... is that tree on YOUR property... or CITY property... you may get to make a claim on the city.
