lifting cabs
just a quick question, is it wise just to raise the cab enough to work on the underside of it, or should I just go ahead and pull it off all together, reason being no place to realy raise it all the way off the frame.

Just barely lifting and taking it all the way off is going to be about the same unless you have some way of lifting the cab up above your head. If you take it all the way off, then you will have to set it on something, which in most cases is going to be close to the floor. What are planning on doing with the cab?

When I pulled my cab off, I used two motorcycle tie down straps and just raised it up off the frame, and left it hanging from the garage ceiling. If ya want to set it down, you can put it on milk crates, a roll around frame, anything you like. I just moved the frame over, and left the cab hang until I was ready for it.. Just my $.02.
