It's a 8ft bed w/ extra 6" added on behind the cab. All the best info on these trucks is at Longhornmails site, he is the guru of these trucks...

The Longhorn was General Motors way to capture the camper market. There was surge of Americans heading out to see the country. They used the std C30 frame which has a 133" wheelbase. To make the truck box fit on the longer wheelbase, they added 6" to the front of a std 8' box. The truck was available in 3/4 ton and 1 ton designations. I don't know if you could consider them a real success. They sold a rather small number of them in comparison to the other truck models. But they are unique and very desirable. This is the one I have. (4 sale)

Very well put, and thanks for the plug there Pierce.
All in all, over the 5 year production run, there were only 25,442 Longhorns built. That is both one ton and 3/4 tons.
