Nice! I like the old body style best. Still trying to get used to the new ones. I wouldn't drive anything else though.

Re: Well I made the leap! Pics of my new Duramax!!

looks awesome
i think one of the best upgrades for the money is the 5 inch exhaust with a cat eliminator pipe and yes GM offers these kits as accessories. i have customers that have put the systems on and it made a big difference in fuel milage and power. plus it looks cool
good luck and enjoy

Re: Well I made the leap! Pics of my new Duramax!!

Thanks guys, I will make sure to post some new pictures as I go. After driving it now for a couple of days, I am not sure I like the mirrors. I like the ones on my old GMC better for some reason. WES

It's SOOOOOOO hard to not trade my Z71 in on a new one.

Just need to keep thinking.... camaro, camaro, camaro, camaro

The interior, ride, and comfort of the new GMT900's is unbelievable.

Great looking truck!

Re: Well I made the leap! Pics of my new Duramax!!

Okay, Wes, fess up! What kinda deal are you working on the mirrors? Hubby bought a GMC in the steel blue last month and HATES the mirrors. One of the salesmen bought an '07 a few months ago. He told Stan he's swap mirrors with him if Stan paid the labor. I 'bout FREAKED! He's keeping the mirrors 'til some other deal comes along.

LOVE the back-up warning lights in it. LOL!! But you still have to have 5 acres to park the dang thing!!

And you gotta get some bigger rubber to fill up those wells!!

Re: Well I made the leap! Pics of my new Duramax!!

LooseScrews, If I told ya, I'd have to shoot ya... Just kidding. The parts Manager (who I do about $4000.00 in business with per month) has a set that someone who purchased a new truck took off. He also has a customer that wants a new set of the camper mirrors, (you see where I am going with this ) Anyway lets just say mine were sold..lol I also am getting the 20" Kahoonas with the Nitto tires that you see on the GMC back. I will install them on the new one also. WES

Re: Well I made the leap! Pics of my new Duramax!!

That's what Stan was planning on doing with that other salesman. But when he told Stan he wanted HIM to pay for labor for removing, installing and programming both sets of mirrors (when he could get it done practically for free) Stan told him he'd pass. Wayne acted like his feeling were hurt. I worked part time for the dealership and could get a discount on the labor, but it's the principle of the thing. Stan's bro-in-law is part owner of the dealership, so Stan got a new grill thrown in (when it comes in) and a couple of other things. He said if he'd realized the mirrors were that bad, he'd have had that option removed first. LOL!! I told him to take him on a couple of fishing trips and tell him you want mirrors instead of payment.
