Anyone use these before?

Has anyone ever tried the Summit Racing long tube headers? They are inexpensive, and have seen them one a a few other trucks, but never heard if there is any issue with them being "cheap". Anyone got any info on these? Thanks in advance,
Eric

Re: Anyone use these before?

I havent used the headers but I have used the "Summit brand" stuff plenty of times and have always had good luck... I have an in with a big shot at Summit and he will tell you that Summit doesnt really have their own manufacturing plants but they do put their name on stuff that other companys make... So ???? I actually just installed their version of the MSD ignition box on a friends Nova and it is awesome for a fraction of the cost... I would say go for it..

I just put the Summit inexpensive headers on the White truck. If you are going to be doing the whole exhaust there shouldn't be a problem. The collector on the left header turned in toward the drive shaft just a little and gave me some grief. Other than that I don't see a problem with them....

Re: Anyone use these before?

I know that Thrush makes Summit's Turbo mufflers, so they may contract their headers out to Thrush or another similar company. I would say go for it as I have not had any trouble w/ their products.
