Hey guys, I have had my Blazer for sale for about 7 months now for $950, and have not had one serious offer.. Can anybody tell me what it might be worth, or what I should do to help it sell.. maybe drop my 350 in it and get it running?
how much you think it would be worth with a running 350/th350
should I fix the rust hole? I mean I thought I was giving it away with my prics when i fist posted it, but i guess im wrong

Friend of mine bought one similar to that one, for 500.00 put in a 327,th350 and sold it for 2800.00

thats the thought i have been thinking, swap my 350 from my 69, and then get a 5.3 for the c10

Yeah, fix the rust hole. I only paid $685.00 for my '85 a little over three years ago. Doesn't look anywhere as nice as yours though, excluding the rust. I've seriously been thinking about going the V8 route.
There was one sold locally a couple of months ago for $1000.00, without the motor and trans. It had everything else ready for a V8. Mtr. mounts, headers, radiator.

I see S10's for sale all the time on Craigslist. They seem to go at bargain rates, but I really don't follow them to know the differences.

I'd say fix the rust holes first. Cosmetic issues will turn-off the average buyer more than the V6 vs V8. If you're going to keep it, do the engine swap. If not, just save your time, effort and cash and cut the price the cost of an engine swap.

That rust behind the wheel wells looks like a prime candidate for a structural adhesive patch panel (like we were talking about in the bodywork section a couple weeks ago)

Seems like you could find a 305 for it pretty cheap, but would be a step backward compared to that v6. Those little vortec motors run very good though , a shame you can't find a 4.3 short block somewhere

i have looked into some 4.3's but i hate to put all that time and money into, just to end up with a stock blazer..lol

It is 2wd and not selling?? I'm surprised, I know of guys on S10 forums looking for 2wd first gen Blazers. I'd suggest posting it at those sites if you haven't already.... OR, if you aren't a member, I'd post it for you at the ones I am at. What motor is in it - CPI or TBI?

I sold a 91 2wd Blazer that was primered with a so-so motor, steel rims and a knocking TBI 4.3L for $700 last year.

I would think it is well worth what you are asking for it. I sold an 85 that didn't have much of a body left for $450, and that was like 5 years ago. It it was anywhere clost to me I would be more than willing to buy it. I guess location kills the deal one more time.

Especially with gas prices on the rise, those little 4.3 are good motors.

Fix the rust, throw a new 4.3 in there and it will move fast... guaranteed!

thats not a bad plan either -- a good 4.3 is lighter and might even have more power than a cheap 350 with big chamber heads and reverse dogdish pistons. Probably not as much torque though, but as light as those are, you dont need it

IMO, if you have the know-how and the funds, V8 it. S10V8.com is an awesome site. I'm in the middle of my conversion right now. I have been in the s-10s since '94. I am really surprised you haven't sold it yet - it's a perfect candidate for a V8 swap. I wouldn't even mess with the 4.3 - harnesses need to be changed and all that jazz - just put that same money and effort into a carbed V8 with auto tranny. I would think if you do it right, you could get up to 5 grand, but you'll probably put 3 into the swap, depending on the engine expense.
