My 72 Jimmy 4x4 has a spring over lift and the rear end is about 2" lower than the front. I am thinking about adding a body lift to the rear only to make it level. I would also like to change to 16" wheels. I really want this truck to be my daily driver. Are these mods safe?

I appreciate any suggestions.

How about a lift block tween the axle & spring ?

That would probably be the easiest. Can I get the blocks at a parts store? Is there more than one material the blocks will be made of and which one is the best?

If you want the back level with the front, the lift block is the easiest way to do it. You can get them at almost any parts store. Most of them now are made of alum. If you install the lift block and get a driveshaft vibration, you may have to install a shim kit to rotate the axle up a hair. Some lift blocks come with this and some dont. Be sure to check and see if you have enough shock travel and brake line left after you install the blocks. The 16" wheels are safe as well. Hope this helps.
