fuel pump is leaking......

I took the fuel pump out and discovered it was leaking from these 2 small holes on the side of the pump. Are these holes like frost plugs and pop out when it is contaminated with moisture?

Those are "breather" holes and if the diaphram within is damaged from whatever (probably old age), fuel will puke out those holes. The pump has $hit the bed, bought the farm, kicked the bucket, expired, passed on, well, you get the idea.

May those who love us, love us, any of those who do not love us, may God turn their hearts.
And if God is unable to turn their hearts, may he turn their ankles so we may know them by their limping.

A man who works with his hands is a laborer; a man who works with his hands and his brain is a craftsman; but a man who works with his hands and his brain and his heart is an artist.
