First winter to drive this truck and it is starting to get cold. I noticed my truck a little difficult to start in the morning. How can i tell if the choke is working properly before it gets really cold. Thanks

Spray the linkage with penetrant and move it to assure that it is free. Usually chokes don't work because they get sticky.

How can i tell if it is even hooked up. It's a 350 with a Edelbrok 1600 on it. Thanks

There should be one red and one black wire connected to it. The red is hot and the black will be grounded.

turn key to on.
take off air cleaner.
move gas pedal linkage a little.
look in carb to see if choke butterflys are almost closed.
if they are , its working.
if not check wire and choke linkage.
repeat.

Sorry I can't help but I know how you feel, I went from an electric choke to no choke at all! It takes forever to get her wamed up and going.
