Re: Bags on factory trailing arms?

I have the ECE bag kit on my 2wd Jimmy (factory trailing arms). I would never do anything else. The system is awesome.

Re: Bags on factory trailing arms?

The Only problom I noticed with the project "sinister" bag setup is that he was not running plates under and over his bag. If you do not sandwich a round plate between the bag and the trailing arm and the bag and the frame than the bag will have a good chance of failing (so i am told) My Air bag guy told me that if you hit any serious bump than the metal portion of the bag will literally wrap itself around the frame or the trailing arm. They are cheap insurance and give you piece of mind when going down a messed up road.

No offense, but "Your Air Bag Guy" is trying to sell you parts you don't need. Bolt the bag in place of the coil, it will be just fine.
