Re: my 67 gmc short wide

Pics are nice but some of us can read too. (I'm learn-ed ) Would love to know the history on how you got it, how long you have had it and your plans for it.

BTW, welcome to the build section!

Re: my 67 gmc short wide

got her about 7 yrs ago from a guy who said she was restored. Drove daily for 3 yrs and started seeing things that were wrong, rust, motor not running right, just poorley put together. Got married and parked her and finally getting to work on her. Had the 350 bored .030 over, put in new 3/4 race cam, had heads milled, hooker headers, flows. Now I'm down to the body work. Replacing the doors, rockers, paint. Lowered the front 2.5 still gotta go down 4 in back. Seats from 89 chevy with homade mounts, new center console will have storage, cupholders, and will house a 10 sub. When i get finished its going to be mainly cruise and show truck.

Re: my 67 gmc short wide

Well things have been slow but I got doors from salvage for $250 and now I gotta patch in a spot in the skin. Should be ordering parts in next couple of weeks. Any suggestions on the best place to get 2" drop shackles for the rear? Anybody else running a serpintine system from a 90's model truck? I need some belt help.

Re: my 67 gmc short wide

well got the seats installed along with the console, still got to make the top and then pull it all to paint. Also got the door panels skinned. Well had to change seats the ones from the 89 were to hard to find covers for and when I did they were $300.00 so I ordered these for $250.00

Also had the youngest helping me.
