picky liftgate buyer!

I sold a liftgate on ebay.the guy called ,I told him it had a little but not much surface rust.He sent one of his family members, who found one of the worlds smallest rust holes.and started acting like my stuff was junk or like he could buy a new one at Walmart or something.I called him to see if he wanted a close up pic,but he wasn't have it.He also was acting like I was trying to pull a fast one.the worst part is that I would use them but from what I've read it's too hard to convert from the barn doors.thanks for letting me vent to people who know whats up. wig

Don't sweat a guy like that, if he knew anything about it he would have been stoked about A pinhole. I've seen someone buy one of those that was hardly there!
From what I understand it is an extremely simple swap, everything you need is there, and they bolt right in, maybe you should give it a try

Re: picky liftgate buyer!

The gate hinge pockets will not be on a barn door burb. But you can go the other direction no problem.

Sounds like the prospective buyer was a real screwball. If he comes back because he can't find one to his liking I would raise the asking price. Its all about supply and demand and like you quipped, you can't just pick one up at Walmart.

Re: picky liftgate buyer!

I have seen them from 200 to 400. I think 250 range is what I would ask for a good one.
