Somewhat solved my dim dash light problem

well i've done the white face gauges, cleaned up my plastic lens and then installed inverted LED bulbs. well my dash would barely light up. I had a 4led bulb laying around so i put that in to compare. the 4 LED was ten times brighter...obviously that makes sense. so I ordered 4 7LED bulbs to put in, and hopefully that will make it look like a Christmas tree. just in case you guys ever do this you wont be wasting money on inverted LED's like i bought. i guess there was a reason why they were the cheapest ones.

these bulbs are the 194's . I'm also going to try to rig up one of the 36LED squares that they sell also. I'm going to try to mount that in the middle of my gauges and see what kind of light that puts off. I will post pics when its all done.

There's no need to order 7... the inst panel only takes 4, the rest are for dummy lights and directionals, and there's no need to them in those locations, and they also won't look nearly as good since the light goes directly to a lens instead of being reflected.

Re: Somewhat solved my dim dash light problem

Andy I think he was meaning going to buy 4-7bulb LED.

1969chevyrazorback,
You do not need the 7 bulb LEDS, the best ones I have found are the ones the 70c-10 meantioned in your and are the 5 LED refractor style bulbs.I get my LEDS from www.superbrightleds.com
They have just about any bulb you want. Also you can search ebay and find some good deals as well...
