Which number actually give you the sidewall height??

My Front sidewall and Rear sidewall are about the same...I want the front tire to be a bit shorter...How would i acheive this...

Look at my front tire vs. my rear tire....I want a little bit shorter tire in the front...

Thanks
Jason

using my tire as an example--

235/75/15

it is 235 MM wide, or 23.5 CM, and the sidewall height is 75 percent of that, and it fits a 15" rim

The second number gives you the ratio of the width to the side wall height. i.e. Tire size: 255/70, side wall height is 255mm x 0.70 = 178.5mm (7.027 in.)

This pic is with my old Radial T/As on it, but I haven't yet snagged a pic of it with the Yokohama Avid S/Ts...same size, so you still get the idea

2.5" drop front, 4" drop rear, unknown width rims...
245/60TR15 front, 275/60TR15 rear. (That's the Yokos...the T/As are S-rated instead of T-rated.)

I don't clean my rims/tires....they look crappy.

255/70/R15's in the rear, don't remember the front size, nor do I have a pic of them.

Here are the rears, as stated, 255/70/R15, 15x8 vette rallies, with 6 on 5.5 bolt pattern:

Talking

I cannot post a picture, the browse feature keeps asking for a 640 x 0 size which I believe is a straight line.

15x10 on the back with 295/50/15 and 15x8 on the front with 245/60/15s.....gives almost the exact same height (if I remember right, the front is like .1 inch shorter)
