One of my children left the nest...

I sold my 72 BB Suburban today.... sniff, sniff... It was like watching one of my children go off in the world to make their way... sniff, sniff.... I know it went to a good family that will take good care of it, but that didn't make it any easier.... sniff, sniff..... I miss the ole gal in my driveway already.... And it's not like it just went down the road a little where I can go sneak a visit every once and a while either!!! It went to California...Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhh....I got to go I just can't bare it any more.... Bye!! I hope the new owners have a safe trip home..... Booooo Hoooooo Hoooo Hoooo!!! treasures

I am sure you took very good care of her while she was in your hands. But what fun would it be if you had them all to yourself. There would be no one here on the board to talk to except those wanting to buy one you had in prison. Wait 5 minutes , you'll find another one. Keep the doors open to your sanctuary, were losing too many to the crusher as it is.....

Should we have a long distance wake for your loss Wes?

It is always rough when they leave the nest. Guess you'll need to buy more to drown your sorrow.

Gee-Emm, It is a matter of just having too many trucks that need restoration. I liked the suburban and would loved to keep it, but it would have been way too long befor I could have gotten to it to do a propper restoration. The family that bought it loves it and like working on trucks. Heck their whole family likes these years of trucks and they will restore it to it's former glory. They even bought new rockers, mirrors, door sills, floor patches and everything it needed to get far into the restoration process. I am happy with my decision as hard as it was to make it, but I did save it from a fate worse than the junkyard.... It has a good home now where it will get the work it deserves and a lot faster than I could have gotten to it..... WES www.ClassicHeartbeat.com
