My father in law has a 72 burb that is 6 cylinder 4 wheel drive. Kind of a wierd powertrain combo but it runs like a top.

Re: 6 cylinder Burb?

I have a '67 Suburban my that my folks bought new - 292 six with Turbo 400 tranny. Nice combo; replacing the stock 1bbl carb with a 2bbl really woke up the motor.

Re: 6 cylinder Burb?

We had a 67 Suburban in the Forest service with a six. It was a 3/4 ton 2wd with some pretty heavy duty coil springs in the back. We would load it with sacks of ready mix and grilles and head up the mountains to install them in different campsites.

Re: 6 cylinder Burb?

I just picked up an ex Navy Sub that was a 6 with a power glide. Been upgraded to a yet to be identified SB and trans. It also seems to have come with disc drakes. It was delivered to the Navy on 12/69. Anyone know if the Military Versions came with Disc in 70?
