Re: Aluminum SILVERADO emblems

Those are pretty trick...

Another cool thing would be to have them anodized then milled out...

It would be a black ano base with the raw aluminum lettering milled out..

Just a thought !!

Good Luck !! Hope to get some someday !!!

Yes,because you will have to paint them.I dont do the finishing on any of my parts. They are sold right out of the mill or lathe.

Re: Aluminum SILVERADO emblems

Or maybe even a custom aluminum cluster cover...similar to the ones Covans Classic makes...only to fit over the factory gauges...I was told by Covans that theirs will not work over the factory gauges due to the offset in the back

Re: Aluminum SILVERADO emblems

Here is a pic I pulled from another thread...the tailgate band sells though LMC for $300+...not sure what it would take for you to make one or if it would even be worth the while cost wise...but I am sure if it was reasonable you would have plenty of taker...especially with the ability to customize it...as far as the mounting of it we will have to wait for someone to chime in...I've never had a truck with one but do planning on putting one on my truck...gotta assume some sort of clip and fastner...or adhesive....

Also is a pic of the gauge cover by Covans..they sell these for $250...love the look of them and they are a great alternative to the billet overlay that is offered on the market...this actually replaces the entire piece...again not sure of whats involved in the making of these or if it would even be worth your while...but if it possible...I am sure you would get plenty of interest

Re: Aluminum SILVERADO emblems

I will look into both of those. The coven dash looks like it is cast if it is aluminum. The tail gate band we might be able to do pretty easy.Depending on what you want engraved I am going to say around $200.00 shipped.

Keep us all informed...that kind of price doesnt sound too hateful at all...I am sure I am not the only one interested in items like these...the emblems look great as well

Re: Aluminum SILVERADO emblems

would you be able to make grille pieces? i want a middle bar for my phantom grille, like the one on the black/silver pic. but more like the stock center bar with a recess milled into it so it can be painted same colour as the body and have the raised outer edges.
