Iowa hits the board
Hello, quick rundown of whats going on and maybe ya'll can help with my decision and I'll be starting a new build.
Working on trying to find time to get to Jacksonville, FL to buy an 87 swb truck.. I currently own an 87 lwb and have access to quite a few other lwb pick ups, so should I spend the 2200 it will cost to buy and get the truck home.. or be slightly disappointed I didnt buy the swb in the end.... anyways I know it's possible to shorten frame.. how much will a box run me? Thanks for reading my babble.. J BTW... picture of the truck I'm seeking

Welcome, from Indiana! I would snatch that up for that price if you have the money. Even if you shorten a LWB frame the
 will keep telling you in your ear that deep down you know it aint right.

Talked to the person selling the shortbox i posted a pic of, sent him a check he's holding it for me till end of august and i'll make the trip, 22hr drive, of course will have to haul it back on a tote with the drive shaft disconnected.. truck currently has 3spd on the tree converted to standard floor shifter and 4.3 TBI v6.. he isn't for sure if it will make the trip, mileage on truck says 98,000 ... I'm not sure what tranny that is exactly I just call it the old farm tranny
