Re: Cool 67 short wide "shop truck" on ebay!

I'm going to say no bags and no white walls, just change the wheels and tires. I'm a factory truck rally wheel guy, and of course they would look great. Maybe a slight drop would be ok.

The only thing that is holding me back is the fact that it is not a small window cab. If I am going to build a second truck I would prefer it to be a 67 small cab window SWB..I am watching it though!!!!

Re: Cool 67 short wide "shop truck" on ebay!

i'm on the bandwagon for keeping it mostly stock. just knock out the dents and freshen up the paint and whatever it needs. very interesting seeing roof lamps on a 1/2 ton short bed fleetside. upgrade to 71-72 disc front brakes and convert to electronic ignition (petronix kit, etc) and you have yourself a great little driver.

I'd go Donk style on it (maybe 30" wheels). Haha! Nothing wrong with a big window 67!

Re: Cool 67 short wide "shop truck" on ebay!

yeah....those aren't quite as nice looking as the yankee lights that came off my dad's 72 burb (and are going on mine) but they sure look good at night going down the road, especially with a trailer hitched up. i like the big rig feel......these are trucks, not sport cars. i wouldn't stick cab lights on the roof just for the sake of having them....but if it had a nice set already, i wouldn't shave them.

in my particular case, my burb will be hauling the families 71 holiday around and so the lights will bring back a connection of my childhood in the 80's when my dad used his 72 to haul around that same camper....25 years and still going! i wouldn't normally even think to put them on this style truck (it is more like a sport truck in proportion and style), but they are cool in that they are original and it is different and unexpected and they are already on the truck. be interesting to see that little rig pulling a company trailer behind it....all decked out with running lights.....

Big window 67's are second only to a fully loaded BB '72 Cheyenne Super. (my opinion)
Nice truck,... Mondo!

Who's going to buy it?

I see a cool non-shop truck as well.I like it as is,as a shop truck,resto rod,full stock restoration...Imagine that,a correct factory resto.

Re: Cool 67 short wide "shop truck" on ebay!

Would need to check the roof inside and out to make sure those cab lights are sealed tight and not leaking. My cab lights were leaking and I have the rust to prove it. Hmmmm......rust repair or new cab........what to do.

I like 67 big windows alot, and that is a nice looking one. I'd probably just put on a nice set of wheels and drive it!
