These pictures are of my 67 K10. The engine cross member has been cut and extended down about 1". The oil pan clears by about 0.5" The engine is a 327 small block.

I am going to be switching my engine to a different frame. I assume the oil pan will hit the other crossmember and want it to work.

Is my oil pan odd or incorrect?

Are my motor mounts wrong? 6 cyl or big block?

You just have an early passenger car oil pan with a center stepdown.. everything else is correct for a V8.
You will need to find a different pan to use an unmodified crossmember..
I do believe I have one at the shop that you can have.. I will check Monday...

I looked at all the engines I have had in my 59 and all three (350 and two 283's) have the single drop pan like the post below. Maybe the double drop plan was a factory larger capacity for an auto or larger truck?

When I changed my timing chain and had to drop the oil pan I realized that the crossmember was hacked. I just figured that 4x4's had less clearance (which I had heard). I did not realize that the P.O. had hacked it in an engine swap. Come to think of it, when I was trying to figure out the engine suffix code it said that it was out of a impala or a camero (TO325HCH). I just assumed that most oil pans were the same.

I suppose that I could move that hacked crossmember over to my newer frame and keep the good one if I ever get a proper pan. I would just like to have as many things semi-proper and not have to fix it later.
