So I was offered a trade today

A guy offered me a trade, his running and driving 93 Z28 for my 79 K5 with a bad trans and a good one to be put in. Though his car does run and drive it sounds as though the optispark needs to be replaced, plus one of my friends says that the 93s are still a speed density setup so not the greatest. But he won't buy another LT1 car after having owned LS1 cars. The body of the car seems to be in pretty good shape with minor cosmetic problems.

Anyone have any advice for me? I would like to have another f body but I don't want to trade one headache for another one.

Re: So I was offered a trade today

Keep the K5, you could buy a couple of used transmissions for the price of a new distributor on that LT1 car. But it all boils down to what you want.
