New guy in AZ

Hey, my name is Jonny, and i live in Queen Creek AZ. Picked up a 69 LWB a couple weeks ago. Dont know a lot about american cars as i started my automotive obsession with those silly little air cooled german cars. i still love em and still have 3 of em, but dang it i need a truck.

So, my plans for this pick'emup are to get it running and drive it for now...Later i plan on lowering it a bit, probably 3" front 5" rear. i also have a set of late model Chevy truck wheels that im currently working on fitting.

i may paint it eventually but i think im just gonna leave it ratty till i can afford to do all the bodywork that it needs.

In this pic you may be able to see some of the bodywork that needs fixed. In front of the wheel arch on the bedside there is 1.5" of bondo so i will probably replace the whole bedside when i can find one cheap...

Dont know if this is original mileage....

Coolest part of this truck is the Hurst shifter. It was converted from a manual to slushbox at some point, and i dont know for certain what size the engene is but the PO told me it was a 350.
