My new Toy-sadly had to sell my 87 though

sold my 87 to Frank (Fmonroe), so i could buy this...always wanted one, but couldnt afford one...so i sold my dearly beloved 87, and my Harley to buy this 69 SS X-11 Camaro in Chesterfield Michigan..gettin it shipped here hopefully this week...previous owner decked it out to look like a Z28 (just badges that will get changed soon)

cant wait to get her here!

my truck i sold Frank-

my harley i had to sell also:

-and the car that i've always wanted....(just hope it is what "it is" when it gets here), b/c it costed me an arm and a leg, ....more than i've ever paid for a "hot rod"

Re: My new Toy-sadly had to sell my 87 though

I know Frank will take care of the truck! I hope that Camaro is what he says it is......... Why would someone turn an SS Camaro into a Z28?? BTW: next spring I get back my 68 Camaro RS/SS 350 3 speed stick from my friend. My Uncle bought it new, I owned it for 11 years and sold it to my friend. I'm buying it back next spring!!!!!!!!I have all the paperwork from when my uncle bought it and the protecto plate. This IS the only Camaro I will own; old or NEW. Good luck on that 69!

Beautiful car, bigarmzz. I can see and understand why you sold your truck and harley for it. There is just something about a '69 Camaro. I've always wanted one as well, in the exact same color scheme (blue with white stripes).

I can only imagine the anticipation of the arrival! Congratulations on a beautiful new car!

Re: My new Toy-sadly had to sell my 87 though

Nice find! I can't believe you bought it without seeing it in person though. We redid on for a guy before, he bought it for $20k because it was in a magazine..... He brought it to my friends body shop to get a fresh coat of paint. After we started sanding on it we found some bondo on it. 2 rear quarters, passenger door skin, passenger fender, header and cowl panel, hood, trunk lid and floor later it rolled out $9k more in repairs and paint. The bad part was, it looked really good before. It was just all covered up.... We called it "The Beautiful Letdown". Hope it works out for you.

Frank will take amazing care of your ol' truck, so no worries there.

Now that '69 SS is beautiful, I think you will be more than happy.

Nice upgrade. There are plenty of 73-87's for you to build if you get the urge again. That's a very good looking 69 - hope it's all you expect.

Re: My new Toy-sadly had to sell my 87 though

It is evident from the pics of the bike, truck, and te 69 that you have great taste in rides.Ireally like the rims/wheels on the bike. Seems much more classy than many of the big carved billet wheels I have seen.

The truck is still at Kumar's place. I have set up a shipper but I am told it may take a couple weeks.
There will be pics. One of a black with red interior and one red with a black interior. I am going to keep the black truck until after September ,then I may get serious about selling it . The red truck is supposed to be my sons truck, he just doesnt know it. My wife actually TOLD me to buy it . Seems like she might be planning to off me and is just getting things in order first ,j/k but it ws strange that she actually wants me to buy another truck. My son thinks the truck was sold to someone else.

Nice rides Bigzz. I hate to see the truck go, but at least it went to our resident clean truck king. Anyone take odds on how long before he has another square?

That is awesome Frank! Be sure to have the camera up and running when he realizes the truck did sell... to the family.

The truck will be much easier to replace than a '69 Camaro. Of course you know that because it replaced your old black truck!

This is a shot of my coupe with my old '67 RS.
