Re: 68-72 swb trailering arm 5 lug rolling chassis

Is this the original 5 lug front and rear end in this frame? If so I'm assuming this is an original 71 or 72 rolling factory short chassis? Any damage to the frt/rear frame rail ends or non factory holes or welding done to it? Interested in the pictures. Thanks. Mark

The only things that have be modified are the pass side shock mount hole has been fixed/welded up and there is a small crack where the front bumper bracket mounts to the drivers side frame rail. Easy fix. I'm just going off memory, been a month or two since I've looked at it. I'll shoot new picts tonight when I get home. I would guess its a factory 5 lug chassis, but I'm not positive.

About the only thing I need is a nice swb steel bed floor or some NOS swb bed side trim for a 67-68.

Re: 68-72 swb trailering arm 5 lug rolling chassis

would you like to sell the 3.08 posi carrier? I would buy the whole rear axle but dont see any advantage to driving to Kansas and back just for that.
Thanks

I really don't want to seperate and be stuck with a bare housing and axles. I'll let you know if I change my mind.

Thanks,

Could you measure the width of the rear-end? Not sure how to word that any better? If it's the narrow/early style, I know someone who might be interested. Is the vin on the frame readable? What year does it say?
