I was reading a article and i saw 327 turbo fire, i was wondering if anyone knows what it means?

Here's the short story, according to Wikipedia:
From 1955–74, the small-block engine was known as the "Turbo-Fire V8".

Just a name marketing came up with for the small block. They called the big blocks "turbo jet".

.....and, Olds had the StarFire and JetFire. The old Stovebolt was a Blue Flame Six. Someone had to name 'em to keep their job.

A lot of the 6's were called Thiftmasters, and GMC called their's Invaders.

My '67 Chevrolet Truck Data Book lists Turbo-Fires (283, 327), Turbo-Jet (396), and Turbo-Thrift Six (230) as only available in the El Caminos. Every other gas engine (be it I6, V6, or V8) and Detroit Diesel destined for a Chevy truck was a High Torque that year.
The GM V6 & V8 diesels, however, were Toroflows.
