Question Does anybody else have this screw?

I was going to install my new inserts I got from Reumster today and when I popped off my lenses, I found these screws in the metal housings. I have never seen these before. Anybody else have these?

Maybe it was done by the same guy who installed my headliner?
I have not seen any screws sticking out of the light assembly like that.

Screw?

I have never seen a screw in the housing like that . I would say that it was done to ground the metal housing because somebody had some problems getting the lights to work.

You guys are probably right. I think I'll just use my Dremel to cut it flush so my LED inserts will fit in there.

That metal housing can be removed.
Why not see what's behind there? Then you'll know.

hey man. yer hackjob buddy put that screw in there 2 get a better ground 2 his lights. the taillights on yert truck wont work without a proper ground. i went through the same thing the other night. i took my truck 2 my shop to replace my rear harness, and put in my new tailight lenses. there was alll kinda crap built up in there, so i didnt get a goood ground 2 the light housing, so the lights didnt work. ijust took a die grinder 2 it and cleaned it up for a better ground. it works great. post a pic of yer leds. i wanna out a set on my truck, but wanna see what they llook like first. thanx

I will definitely post pics when I get them installed. It's supposed to rain all day today so I will have to wait. I can't wait to see all 648 LED's fire up!
