id help

dad has a block in his garage. looking for some id help!
ID on block is E6733
it is a flathead v-8, maybe mid 40's.

I am not sure but the E looks like November and the 6 is the day.

FLATHEAD? as in ford if so you can find the id# at the back of the block below the intake manifold it's usually a number followed by one or two letters such as 59AB or 81A also where is the distributer located? mounted on the front of the camshaft it's pre49 if it comes up vertically like a modern distributor is 49-53 DOES HE WANT TO SELL IT???

yes we do want to part with it. there is also a trans, we think the trans is a plymoth but not sure of that. working on getting a picture. the motor was in a 30 model a hot rod we had, the motor was taken out many, many years ago.
