wiper motor gets stuck on the full stroke?

My wiper motor sometimes gets stuck with the wipers at the stroke when the wiper blade is staight up and down just before it goes back down and I have to go out and push it down then away it goes again and then it won,t do it for some time,do you think this a sign of the motor going or a linkage problem binding

Re: wiper motor gets stuck on the full stroke?

I'd say linkage is worn out and binding.

Re: wiper motor gets stuck on the full stroke?

how much resistance is it giving when you push them back down.
If it is alot then the linkage is probably in need of lubrication
if not alot then start checking the wiper motor
