Re: Chevy Vs. Ford

I've owned both. Liked the ones I've had. I think LWB ford trucks look better the LWB Chevys, but the SWB chevy looks better then the SWB Fords.

WTH??? You truck your water in? Where in the Sam Hell do you live? By looking at the buck on the wall.....must be good hunting!

BTW.....ton and a half isn't a problem for me. Those are 125 lbs bales.

Re: Chevy Vs. Ford

Twice a week even. No rain from mid August to mid November kinda dries things out. I also move 4 to 5 tons of gravel at a time too, WAY too much for the 1/2 ton GMC. Just makes the F250 ride good. the 6.9 IDI just grunts and moves, not fast, but steady. I would replace it, but i get 17.5MPG (with no over drive to boot) driving 100 miles round trip to work. Rough ride, but it gets me there.

What gets me is if Toys are bashed, the thread gets locked.

Good point. My preference lies more with certain ones of each. There are some years, and models of Fords that I like, and then there are some that I don't. Same with Chevy's. I have owned more GM products than Fords, but my family is pretty split. My dad is a die hard Ford man, and my uncle, his brother, is a die hard GM man.

Re: Chevy Vs. Ford

This argument will never be over.

My personal opinion? I'd never own a ford simply because I'm a chevy person. All I need is behind the bowtie. No need to stray. Not knocking others who have down so.

That's too bad because they really are the best built cars in the world (toyota/lexus). Granted....this would be in a daily driver category. My '99 Camary has 203,000 and all I've replaces what the STARTER!!!! My '02 Sequoia has 108,000 and is like a new car still.

I also agree with the Tundra comment above. They too will soon dominate the truck market. It's is inevitable. Argue if you want but it will happen.

Re: Chevy Vs. Ford

Every time the "My Brand!" argument gets going I think how much I hate mid-80s Dodge trucks and how much I wish I had a 70 Coronado RT Hemi convertible.

The only company I can think of right off the top that never made at least one car worth having is Yugo.

Re: Chevy Vs. Ford

I'm a GM person at heart but I've owned them all. I like the older GM's because parts are available everywhere. Older Fords. I've had alot of trouble getting the right parts, because there were several different varieties of the same thing.
Dodge is the same way, plus ford or dodge parts cost twice if not more than GM parts.
I own right now a 75 Ford F250 Hi Boy. Which is built like a tank. sucks the gas, but it will sure go. Been thinking about mounting a plow to the front of it for this winter.

Easy slick. We are talking about all different trucks in this thread and the comment was made about the new truck market. This is not a new truck forum. I love my chevy and this forum which is why I'm a PAID MEMBER.....you should think about being the same instead of telling me where my opinion belongs.

IBTL lol
