Post Exhaust Kits

Im looking for an exhaust kit for my truck. I want to keep the factory manifolds and use flowmaster mufflers. What do you thino of this kit from jegs ?

My truck would need this kit :73-87 Chevy PU 2WD 1/2, 3/4-Ton

I like the flowmaster sound, but want it to be fairly loud. What muffler do you think I should get ? What should I expect to pay for them ? I want it make lots of noise at idle.

I haven't used the kit but i have seen it in the catologue and wondered if it was any good also. I'm about to put new exhaust on my truck too and retain the factory manifolds. As for mufflers I'm going to use 40 series flowmasters which you can get from jegs or summit for about $60 each. They sound throaty at idle and powerful under accelaration.

I ordered a kit from Jeg's for my '74. I have my factory manifolds and bought a dual kit by Dynomax. It bolted right up and it recommends Dynomax mufflers (which I used) but you can use any muffler as long as it has the same dimensions as the recommened mufflers do. The kit came with all hardware except for mufflers and the clamps for the mufflers.
