bump for you.

You may have to be patient since it doesn't have the amount of visitors that this one does but if you ask in the "paint and body" forum they'll for sure know what to tell you. There's some very knowledgeable guys over there.

I've never known a body shop to repair trim. It falls under trim restoration/metal refinishing which involves delicate treatment with a process using a whole assortment of metal working tools such as picks, hammers, spoons, sand pouches, files, wire wheels, abrasives, and polishes. I suggest a book on the subject so you can refer to it as you go through the process. I don't think it's something you can learn in a thread

I straightened mine out the best I could first by hand then with hammers, sanded it bondoed it primered it with a rattle can and painted it crome several times then wet sanded it and buffed it out. The crome paint doesnt look like real crome but it passes for polished aluminum or at least good enough until I can justify the outlay for a new reproduction.

I have one of these and have not used it yet, but it looks like it would be perfect for grill repair.
Do a search, I have seen threads where guys have done real decent work repairing them!
do you have another grill you can practice on?

good luck
