85 K20 Info Needed
I'm looking at a 85 K20 Diesel Automatic to buy for a body swap. I have not looked at this truck in person yet.
Here is my questions: What transfer case is this? What front end is this? It has auto w/od. Is this the 700R4? It has a locking rear. It this a Detroit? Anything else I should look at? The diesel is dead. Broken crankshaft. |

[What front end is this?]...Corprate 10 bolt [It has auto w/od. Is this the 700R4?]...yes [It has a locking rear. It this a Detroit?]... Most likely it has a 14bolt semi floating axle, and if the axle code is G80 then it has a gov-lock in it. ------------------ 78 K5 on 3/4 ton axles.
