Post LT-1 Engine & 4L60 Trans. Swap Questions

I am wanting to put an LT-1 engine in my 67-72 truck with AC and was wondering how hard this swap will be.

Will I have to cut or fabricate any pieces?
Which cars have the easier engines to install?

If anyone has done this swap, I would love to hear your story or suggestions! ANything would be appreciated!

A coworker just got back from CA with the purple 71 Chevy K20 on eBay. Its got an impala SS LT1/700r4/205 w/ AC and 4w discs.
I can eyeball his truck to answer any specific questions. It looked like it fit well and had plenty of room to the radiator, the axle, the firewall, exhaust, etc. The engine computer was mounted on the passenger wheelwell.
He drove it up from SoCal, hit Wes's on I-5, where he stocked up on hoods and fenders and inner fenders and grilles and whatnot and drove four days to Alaska and no fluids needed to be added!
