parting 75 C30

I am parting this 1975 C30.
I took the front suspension. I am keeping the wheels. I am keeping the rearend. My brother-in-law took the tach dash.

Cab is shot, but I will cut patch panels from it if wanted, usual lower parts are rusted.

What I have torn off and prices:
$150 Manual tilt column, seems tight, lower cover slid down when removing, I am not familiar with these columns so thought I should mention that.
$50 decent front bumper with brackets
$75 each door SOLD DRIVERS DOOR
$50 each fender
$150 flatbed
$50 hitch
$50 complete cab

I can get pictures of everything.
If there is something else you want let me know and I will price it.
I will not ship large parts. I can get the column shipped, and maybe some cab patch panels, but that's going to be the extent of shipping the larger parts.

Re: parting 75 C30

Hello,

How's the frame? May be interested in the leaf spring crossmember (and supports) if not rusted. Not sure how bad rust is in South Dakota, figured I'd check .

Thanks,

Joe

P.S. - Any pics of the rearmost spring hangers? Need a set for my K30. Pretty sure 2WD are shorter, but not 100%...

Re: parting 75 C30

Frame is great.
Which crossmember, the one in front of the rearend or behind it? Let me know which and I will inspect it closer and get you pictures.
Below is a picture of the rear spring hanger, but for now I am keeping it. I am taking the rearend with the springs and hangers and not selling extras until I get the rearend under my 67. I may put the rearend under my 67 with springs and hangers from the 75.

The one in front of the axle. Should be directly between the front hangers of the rear springs. As far as I know a C30 and K30 are the same there. Mine is thin, and they seem to rust a lot where the support brackets meet the frame (bottom inside frame rail). Not sure if it'll be possible to get a pic of this area or not. I was going to fab one, but might be nice to have an original though .

On a side note, does this have a rear tank, or is that part of a hitch hanging below the frame in the pic?

Thanks,

Joe

That is the hitch hanging down. I will get pictures, it's dark now, and I may not have time tomorrow. If I don't reply by Monday send me a PM.

Looking for heater duct assy. The one that holds the heater core. Restoring truck. So I'm looking for 1 that's real nice. Has all the mounting tabs and what not. One that cleans real nice. Oh, this is a non AC cab right? Thanks, Brian

Non-AC cab is right. I will check it out and get back to you. Same as my reply above, if you don't hear back by Monday shoot me a PM. Probably be a long day tomorrow hiding easter eggs, eating food, and trying to keep up with the kids.

I need the defroster duct if it isn't broken or damaged...the one that attaches to the underside of the dash and is shaped kind of like a "Y". My zip is 55448

how much for the engine? I was gonna rebuild it. I know a guy who may need it when he gets tired of his low power 6 cyl.

Pictures of the corssmember. Looks decent to me. Some flaky stuff on the support, the last picture I had wiped some away with my hand. It will be tough to tell if it's really rusty until I pull it out, but I think it's fine. If you think you may be interested I can pull it out and get you better pictures.

This one looks nice to me, just a little dirty. Take a look at the pictures and let me know what you think. It's a heck of a lot bigger than I was expecting. How about $10 plus actual shipping?

Pictures are attached, it's not that nice.
The emblem isn't great, although you could replace it.
The third picture shows a scratch.
The fourth picture shows some sort of residue, looks like someone had a sticker on it a long time ago. I didn't try to remove it.
The fifth picture shows some white marks, almost like the woodgrain is wearing thin there.

Thanks for the good pics. Great to see a seller remember and not need constant reminders ...

Doesn't look too bad. I am definitely interested, depending on cost. Shipping would be to 17740. I can Fab one out of channel, so I hate to spend a fortune. I realize your time is worth money and shipping will be a little high though. Any idea on cost shipped?

As said, definitely interested. Just want to get a rough cost before I ask you to take the time and trouble to remove it.

Let me know what your have in mind and we'll go from there .

Thanks,

Joe

That is the part I need. Usually the 2 mounting studs break or the plastic tabs on the heater box break making useless. That what happens up here in New England. I have 4 or 5 of them but all have broken tabs. Anyways that's the part.
Thanks, Brian

Brian where are the plastic tabs that usually break? I play with 67-72's and not familiar with the newer trucks.

If you had caught me a couple weeks ago I would be very slow responding. I am guessing on weight and measurements, but looks like parcel post is around $35 and priority around $50. What's the crossmember worth? $30? So $30 plus shipping? Does that push it too high? Not high enough??

The tabs are on assy itself. There are 2 studs that go through the firewall and are used to attach the heater box to firewall. The studs are clipped on the tabs then go through the firewall. Either the studs on the firewall side are rusted and break. Or the tabs break on the heater duct. Hopefully yours are not as rusted as truck up here are. Let me know if you need anymore info. I can get pics of my broken ones if you want so you can have a visual.
Thanks for your effort,
Brian

I'll take it! Please make sure the vents on top are not cracked or broken, as they are visible from the top side of the dash. Also, please pad it well when packaging, these are a lot more brittle than I though, the last one I got was damaged during shipping. Thanks!
