Budget Buster 68 C10 swb fleetside

This is my 1968 C10 that I started out just wanting to install a modern drivetrain and for that I selected an LS376/480HP crate motor from G.M. with a 4L80e transmission built to hold up to 1000 HP with a FTL torque converter. The truck was Honeydew Mellon Pearl and I started out that I was going to keep the paint as there was nothing wrong with it but I wanted to paint the engine compartment semi-gloss black so that if I changed color later on, I wouldn't have to pull the motor etc. Well one thing led to another and now the truck is silver! It just got sprayed this past weekend and looks BADASS!
So now the truck will be completely new! I have already installed the Air ride suspension and all new CPP control arms with drop spindles and big brakes with hydraboost. New CPP rear trailing arms and cross member and new posi unit in the 12 bolt with new CPP big brakes. All brakes are drilled and slotted and got new stainless steel brake lines all the way back. New 2 piece billet Raceline Wheels, 20x8.5 up front and 22x10 rears.Name: IMG-20110710-00305.jpg

Thank You! I had considered doing Tangelo Pearl and decided on the silver after a lot of thinking! I went in and looked at serveral trucks in the gallery on this site and looked in many magazines to help me decide which color to go with.

tinting the tail lights and front turn signal lenses. Not blacking them out just tinting for a different contrast.

Unhappy Re: Budget Buster 68 C10 swb fleetside

Thanks Man! I wish I could get things done quicker though! I thought my painter was going to get it back to me yesterday or by this morning at the lastest but he has not finished wet sanding and buffing and I don't want to rush him! I was planning on getting it back to my house today and to start installing the Dynamat but I guess it will have to wait!
