Suburban only front door weatherstrips?

I checked with LMC for weatherstriping for my Burb, but found they sell only double weatherstriping on the front doors. Why arent they an the other side doors?

and is it really necessary to get the big inside and top outside strips both?

I currently have only the inside strips on and have no water coming in...So I wondered....

Re: Suburban only front door weatherstrips?

try www.truckandcarshop.com or www.rockauto.com. I have been shopping new weatherstrip for my burb, and have found these two have the best pricing. My 85 uses the one piece strip, seems the older burbs used the 2 piece design.

Re: Suburban only front door weatherstrips?

hi Psycho, I think you missed the point. I am not talking about one or two piece design, but about two weatherstrips:
- one on the chassis (round closed model)
- one on the upside of the door

in this link to LMC you can see what I mean:
http://www.lmctruck.com/features/csb/CSBWTP.htm

and that would apply to your 85 model as well...

I am talking about the nr 2 weatherstrip!
