Original Blazer and Jimmy's Find Thread

I'm always curious as to what is available out there on Craigslist and other sites.

Post up pics and links to original blazer's and jimmy's you run across for sale. For those looking for original paint, etc. it might make it easier to locate that hard to find gem.

Here's a couple that are available on Ebay at the moment...

Re: Original Blazer and Jimmy's Find Thread

Hey Nate, I know of one in Cuba for sale, its suposed to have(1970 I think) 40xxx org miles. I've seen it, was garage kept. Not sure of that, it has the normal rust. The shop that has it is called Freds Fabracation in Cuba. Also I have a friend in Lebanon that is thinking of selling his 72, I believe it was restored back in the late 70's or early 80's, I could give heim a call if interested.

Bentblazer... if you don't mind checking that out for me that would be great. Just testing the waters and seeing what's out there, but I'm shooting for rust free or fairly close to it, and one that still looks original.

Re: Original Blazer and Jimmy's Find Thread

Great posts guys!

The one in Colorado looked promising but the more I learn the more I'm leary. "Sounds" like quite a bit of rust for a 43k mi Blazer. Good start for someone though. Waiting on more pictures and info.

Keep them coming boys!

Re: Original Blazer and Jimmy's Find Thread

I am always surfing CL for parts and such. It is a great way to pick up random stuff that you never know that you might need. Any one in New Mexico??? This would be an excellent starter vehicle/ parts vehicle to check out. Hard to tell from the 2 pix, but looks a little crashed, just a little rust, might not be too rotted... Too far for me on the east coast tho

1971 K5 for $1900:

Claims to have original paint, in North Texas. Does need work though. Guy leaves phone number, so probably a legit ad.

Re: Original Blazer and Jimmy's Find Thread

This one was on craigslist awhile back but i bought it ! 1970 i would say very close to rust free i wish someone had nt primered the passenger side but it still looks pretty good ! I thought when the guy told me the real only rust issue was in the drivers door bottom corner and it was nt even all the way through just on the outer skin i thought theres no way but to my surprise he was nt kidding the rockers are nice and boxes are nice no rust , there was a dent or two that were bondod under the primer but no bad cancer under it . Came from california probably the only reason its as nice as it is . It has been rewired painless everything nice and done right and had a gm crate engine installed , underneath is really probably nicer than the outside looks everything been gone through tran/transcase/axles, etc . Had twin sticks installed and everythings been wire wheeled underneath and sprayed . Its not to far from original still shows alot of her original paint !

WOW... if that Blazer had a little less rust I would be all over it. I've often wondered if they made a custom green vinyl interior for a Blazer (like my '69) and they do. Has good structure and would be a great/easy project for someone.

Thanks for posting that BurnoutNova!

Definitely not from the south.... live in the heart of the rust belt.

I completely agree that it is rust free in terms of the midwest, I am just aware of other blazers that are available for only a few thousand more that would not require any rust repair. Being from the midwest, if I can spend a few extra dollars to not have to deal with rust, it will be well worth it to me in the long run.

Still a great looking blazer.
