1963 Buick Riviera

Gonna be messing with this car for a while since it's probably gonna be some time before I pickup another 67-72 SWB.

I've already bagged this car using the Accuair E-level setup , and I recently had RPL customs install a GEN IV Vintage air setup along with a custom made aluminum radiator and fan shroud and a few other subtle detail items. I'm hoping to get some nice billet wheels for it some time in the next year or so and do alot of cleanup in the engine compartment. (since it badly needs it)

Here's some random pics.

Re: 1963 Buick Riviera

In my attempt to clean up the engine compartment I've been taking random parts to work and painting them satin black. I've also ordered some other stuff for the motor that will contribute to the clean up effort. Here's a few pics.

Re: 1963 Buick Riviera

Hey,great looking car...nice work so far. I have a soft spot for these '63s. Wish I never sold mine. Mine I bought for my wife. It was a sleeper looking bone stock, except 70 series radials with narrow whites which looked stock just not "correct". I was given a '65 GS that I took the dual quad 425 from, rebuilt it with some spice, and swapped in. That thing was a super sleeper. I can't wait to see more of yours.

Exactly! These things were the first personal luxury cars from GM that the others, like Monte Carlos followed. The Riviera was put out there to ill the T-Bird and it did! That interior is like straight out of Autorama...4-place seating, cockpit style console, and on...

Re: 1963 Buick Riviera

Got a little more done. I picked up a finned pushrod cover and painted it black except for the top of the fins. Got my hands on a new PS pump ,painted it black along with an assortment of brackets, pulleys and manifolds. Stainless steel hardware fastened everything back together (so far) and other parts are on the way.

Here's a few pics. Ignore the mismatched valve covers ,finned "BUICK" ones are on the way.

Was a nasty looking green motor

Now it looks a little better
