What would you guys do?

Hey guys and gals.

I have been thinking about what to do with 67 chevy truck.I got it for free from my cousin.

Since I got it.I sanded all the old nasty green paint off.I primered the driver side.It was really straight.I also filled in the fuel tank hole.I repaired the floorpans.Fixed the rockers.Sanded and primered the hood.(good hood one little dent to fix)I also removed the bed and rear bumper. And put a bed off a 72 GMC I had back in the day on it.(getting ready to go to the scrapeyard)

The passenger side is pretty bad.I used more bondo than I would have liked to.It is turning out alright.Still needs work though.

As far as the motor and trans.I got a good th350.It came out of the truck.I have a good 350 4 bolt main short block out of a 79 chevy truck.I can have the motor and trans togother for a minimal expense

The things that need to be addressed are the brakes and suspension.I plan on drag racing this truck only. Can I use the brakes off a 73-86 truck.I can get a rolling chassis for free. That has all the brakes on it from an 79 chevy.

The thing is I have a jeep cj-5 to redo.A 69 camaro to redo. And my 69 requires constant attention.I make 6.65 an hour.So cash is minimal.I have to save up to buy stuff.

What would you guys do keep it or get rid of it.

BTW here is a pic.

Argh!

There's a per-per-PERSON in the picture!

Mommy make him stop!

Seriously, I'd get the CJ running and sell it so that you could finish up all your Chevies!

I'd say keep it...and yeah, getting the rolling chassis from the '79 should be really nice, because then you should be able to unbolt the front crossmember and just drop it into the '67 frame...I'm sure there's a little more to it than that but that's the gist of it.

You guys can beat me for being dumb. What part of the frame is the cross member?

So I can unbolt the whole front suspension off a 79 chevy truck and bolt it all onto my 67.Cool beans!

Well..........

That looks like one fun truck as it is, ((Looks at the lot in the back-ground with the Snow, slosh and ....whoooooo))

hmm Well the Truck was free and the other items you want/need are free or close to it, I say keep it, and Store it cover it. Work on the others as you need.

Make 3 or 4 jars, for funds, put a little in each, and work your funds that way.

I say keep it!!!

Hey firedog.Your truck wasn't for sale in front of fashionbug was it?

Did you happen to be turning left on highway 61 off 67 the other day.And see a white 69 long bed broken down?I saw a primered 67 or 68 shortbed. If you did that was me.

Keep your eye out for my truck. It is a white 69 with GM rally's.A little rust under the side marker lamp on the passenger side on the bed.
