Crew cab

I normally only post in the 60-66 side, but thought Id share this pic. Didnt know if you guys had seen this truck. Im familiar with the 60-66 crew cabs....it seems to me the steps have been removed and the rear fenders moved forward or was this the factory configuration?

Re: Crew cab

It's a 4x so it's hard to tell what was done. Good looking truck though but i think it would look better with a little more space between the cab and the fender.

Re: Crew cab

if it's an original, it was built by an aftermarket coach builder.
anything non standard was built by coach builders.
usually for a power company or forest service

Re: Crew cab

Ogre nailed it! I remember seeing this on ebay and most of these were meant for rough use and that is why few survived. I can't recall the name of the coach works that did this one. Perhaps it wasn't mentioned in the ebay ad.

Re: Crew cab

Thanks guys...the mystery is solved, and I learned a little more about the 55-59 crew cabs.
