250 engine and 3-speed manual trans

NOW PARTING OUT

Currently in my 1968 Chevy C10 this 250 inline six cylinder engine has a 3-speed manual transmission attached to it. Both are for sale together or separate. This truck sat for 11 years until I bought it about 6 months ago. I was told it ran great when it was parked due to suspension issues. It has new plugs, new wires, new HEI distributor (w/new coil), a rebuild carb, new fuel pump, new starter, and new fuel lines. It runs at idle but backfires out of the carb and quits with thottle. I'm thinking it's either a bad cam, vacuum leak, or a stuck valve.

As far as the transmission's condition, I was able to put it in 1st gear and idle it up and down the street about 300 feet. Otherwise it's condition is unknown because I've never had it runnuing good enough to drive through the gears. make me an offer.

****This is a copy/repeat ad.....I found out the engine wasn't a 292 as I was told and I can't edit the original thread title****

I am in need of an exhaust manifold. Are you willing to sell it? If so, give me a price shipped to 46562 please.

Thanks,
Mark

I'll get in line for both the engine and tranny.
2 hours and 18 minutes according to the navigation on my phone. Since I was trying to sell the engine and trans together first, you're the first in line.

I can wait that long but I will be out of town. However, I asked my neighbor if he would help you get it in your truck and collect the $$ and he said no problem. So just give me a closer timeframe when you get a chance.

Re: 250 engine and 3-speed manual trans

Okay time to part it out. So far the interests are:

68 Iron-----distributor (did you want the new plugs and wires also??)----send me your zip

70Stovebolt-----exhaust manifold-----I’ll get you a shipping price.

Duallyjams-----carburetor and air cleaner-----send me your zip

I can’t say it’ll be fast but I’ll do my best get you the shipping cost then we can talk overall prices.

Anyone else interested in parts let me know the parts and your zip.

Okay, I'll pull off the wires, get a box for it, and get a quote for you. I'm headed out of town friday. I'll try and get the quote for you today if you want it sooner than later.
