72 Shortbed Cheyenne

I just brought this home today. Kind of an oddball original black and white, 6 cyl, 3 speed, no PS, no PB, no AC, just a barebones Cheyenne.
Parchment interior with sandalwood column and dashpad/ top of dash. Original seat and headliner gone as well as seatbelts, but I'm reasonably sure they were parchment.
Truck has minimal rust. Outer rockers for shure and the ouboard edge of floor, maybe. Cab corners are good. Bed is rust free with a few dings. Has radiator support and innner fenders, hood hinges, but fenders, hood and grille gone.
Don't know when I will get the work started, but I'll be rounding up parts in the meantime.

Re: 72 Shortbed Cheyenne

I would like to build it back to near original, but with a V-8 instead of the six and probably a 700r4 or beefed up 2004R and definitely have to have air.
I just don't know how soon I can get to it since I have 2 airplane projects and a couple of other car projects going on right now.

Yep, I rounded up fenders, inners, and hood, as well as PS gearbox, PB booster. Starting on cleaning up the front frame and replacing the outer rockers.

Probably not until we stop getting 112 degree days.....usually about mid October. I don't do heat very well these days.

Re: 72 Shortbed Cheyenne

I picked these up pretty cheap at the swap meet Sunday. Wrong color, but I can repaint. They're not perfect, but good drivers.

These were in the box with the others. Anybody have any idea what they are for?
