WTB: Vintage Galles or Ed Black's dealer emblem

A long shot I know but hope to find either an Ed Black or Galles Chevrolet pot metal dealer emblem like the style shown in the photo. Both are/were Albuquerque Chevy dealers. If anyone can help out I'd appreciate it. Thanks, Pete

I'm sure if you were persistent with an ad in the local CL you would find them...

Re: WTB: Vintage Galles or Ed Black's dealer emblem

Have you tried asking the dealership if they have any old ones? They may have some stuffed back in a corner - just a thought.

Good luck with your search!

Great idea! Galles is still in operation so I'll drop by and ask. Ed Blacks is long gone. Thanks.

Thanks! I can store this for you back here in NM on the front of my truck so it doesn't rust back there in MD

I'd kill* for a decent dealer stamped bumper from the SW! I'm just saying. Take this outburst as a TTT rather than a hijack,ok?

That's too cool! Are you going to run it on anything? There has been an ad come up on the Albuquerque and Santa Fe Craigslist of a guy who buys/sells Ed Black's stuff. I have a couple dealer tags from Santa Fe Chevrolet... also an old one on my '62 from Quality Chevrolet, Las Vegas, New Mexico.

Free ttt for you...

Thanks! Saw the plates on Craigslist then actually grabbed one from the same seller listed on ebay ( http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...m=180949401487 ) thanks to Leddzepp. The seller never replied to my question about the dealer emblem though so will keep looking. This would be a nice addition to my K20 together with a period correct Bernalillo Co. truck plate. BTW - i hear that Capitol Scrap in Santa Fe is good place to check for old vehicle parts.

I also have a Taos Motors tag and a Quality dealer badge in my collection. Making conversation brings it back TTT ^
