Smoothing the firewall, 68 custom cab.

I want to see what you guys have done to smooth out your firewalls. What's the best way to go? I'm just open to any ideas that may help with the process.

What did u do on the left side to cover up the old a/c holes? U cut a piece of metal and weld? Or?

I welded sheet metal over the holes, ground the welds and used body filler to smooth it all out.

Here is mine after a Vintage Air install.I am not a welder so I cut some 1/4" aluminium plate to fit old holes and faired it with duraglass and painted it flat.
