looking for modelhaus resin GMC fleetside tailgate insert

i am looking for the fleetside tailgate insert from the modelhaus GMC conversions that allow you to make a 1960-66 GMC from an AMT chevrolet truck. also looking for the complete conversions if anyone has either of them? please PM me or email me:peggyryan7@msn.com if you have this part,or know where i might find it.thank you.

Have you tried contacting them? I assume you've checked their website at www.modelhaus.com . Their phone # is (217) 864-4402. I have their catalog and didn't see anything listed

hi,yes i have,no reply from them yet.these sets were discontinued in the late 1990s and they have no plans to re-issue the parts because apparently there was little demand for them and the "molds wore out".kinda strange that they can keep all of the other items like the chevy truck parts and parts for the rare obscure early promos in stock,do those parts continually fly off of the shelves i wonder? seems like the only things people discontinue are the truly unique items. i was hoping someone had this part or would consider letting me borrow it to cast.at least i will have a chance at making these cool trucks even if they end up being stakebeds due to the lack of tailgates!!

I feel the same way. Once you develop a mold,why not make more.Obviously they sold all they made. Here it is 20 years later. How could they predict the future.IMO.once a mold is made it's worth keeping.
