newbie in need of help....85 Gmc 5.7l bogging down

I have a 1985 GMC 5.7l with a 4 barrel QuadJet. I bought the truck about 6 months ago. At first everything was fine then I noticed coolant leaking out of the thermostat and water pump, so I replaced both. Which entailed taking the whole front end of the motor apart.(This model has the annoying smog pump set up) About a few weeks or so later the motor started bogging down @ about 55-60 mph and would not accelerate. After laying off the pedal for 1-2 seconds it will regain a little bit of speed but struggled to get over 60. So i rechecked all the vacuum lines and lines that were removed to replace water pump. It went away for a few weeks and then started again. So i triple checked the vacuum lines and this time it did not help. Then while driving on the freeway I had the idea that the tank switch could have not been fully pressed when I switched between tank and thus after pressing firmly it started to run back to normal for a few weeks. Then about a week ago it started again. Went through the previous check list, nothing helped. Some body suggested a tune up (new cap, rotor, plugs, and wires), so I did that. Still no luck. I was looking at the carb after all of this and noticed that fuel is not visible out of the two injectors?? in the front of the carb. So after that long novel I am in need of any and all help..... Thanks in advance...
