wheel offset/backspace for lowered c20/c30

As the title states. Ive searched endlessly on what offset/backspace to run on a 20 or 22 inch wheel. I plan on keeping the 8 lug. All im finding is 5 lug swapped trucks. I plan on a 4.5/5 drop. Any help will be appreciated.

Many better tire shops have the device that measures back space, and for tire size.

Eastwood sells a version for $100 I think.

Re: wheel offset/backspace for lowered c20/c30

I have lowered my C20 2 inch in front and 5 out back. Hummer wheels are what I am running.

They sit nice on the truck but it is going to depend on what width that you want. Since they are 8.5" wide they do sit nice under the truck but I may look into getting 10s for out back. The front have good clearance and I am not sure if I would go wider. I know these are for 17s but I hope this helps.

Hummer H2 Wheels:
Size: 17" x 8.5"
Bolt Pattern: 8x6.5
Off-set: 18 MM
Backspacing: 5.5"
Weight Rating: 3,195 lbs per rim

Re: wheel offset/backspace for lowered c20/c30

can u post up a pic? do you think you can run those with a 4.5/5 drop? can i get your tire size also. Most 20" wheels are 8.5" wide but im eyeballing a 20x10 with an 18 offset. If i buy new wheels, i wanna buy exactly what i want. I hope those will work because they are very nice. thanks

I should be able to run with a 4-5 front drop and will find out in the spring. Do you want just a side profile or a front that shows the front of the tire under the truck?

can u get me 1 thatll show how far the wheel tucks on the front and rear? i can eyeball it and guestimate what i can go with, im thinking the 8 lugs use the same offset as the HD 5 lug rotors. thanks man

Re: wheel offset/backspace for lowered c20/c30

I hope these help and the front tire is the one with snow on the centre cap.

If you would like I can re-take some with a measuring tape to the outside of the fender to gauge a better fitment.

Fully compressed I have about 3/4 inch to the lip of the fender. (the part of the fender could cut down a tire) If you were to go out more then you would wand to roll the fender for clearance.

This was right after the lowering was done. (cut coil) The front has settled a little more once the springs seated in.
